
According
to our census and studies there are 500,000 hectares in the central
part of Ecuador which are appropriated for the planting of pepper.
Of all this extension only 1000 hectares are cultivated with this
product. This area is understood among the meridians 79º15’
y 79º30’. Its boundaries are the cities of Quininde in
the north, Quevedo in the south, Sto. Domingo in the east and El
Carmen in the west.
Also
there are areas in the oriental part of the country which presents
the same climatic conditions and soils. Nevertheless, there are
not pepper activity so far.

Our
purchasing network covers strategic locations of the pepper area.
This allows to:
A)
Give constantly technical advise to our suppliers for a better post
harvest treatment, See

B) Get a grain very well grown;
C) Get larger volumes of pepper (exportabsle offer), and;
D) Get an uniform drying process and as consequence a product (black
and white pepper) with unbeatable specifications.
Almost
all the pepper that we process and export comes from plantations
that use living tutors (no stakes) for the development of their
pepper vines. We are always trying to protect biodiversity and encouraging
farmers to avoid the exploitation of the forest. We are focused
to obtain 100% organic pepper for exportation. See
